We built the consent platform we couldn’t buy.
cmpstack exists to give agencies, developers and SaaS teams a consent platform that’s fast, honest, and actually enjoyable to use.

Built by people who hated existing CMPs
Most consent management platforms were designed for compliance lawyers, not developers. They’re slow, bloated, and impossible to customise without reading 80 pages of documentation.
We started cmpstack because we were building client sites and kept hitting the same wall. Every tool either compromised page speed, locked you into an ugly default banner, or charged per pageview — penalising your own success.
So we built the tool we wanted. Lightweight by design, developer-friendly by default, and priced fairly for the agencies and teams actually deploying it.
How we build, every day
Four principles that govern every decision we make — from the architecture of our script to the way we price.
Performance-first
Every byte matters. Our script loads asynchronously, never blocks your critical render path, and ships in 4,092 bytes gzipped — because your visitors’ experience is your conversion rate.
Transparency
No hidden pageview traps. No retroactive billing surprises. Our pricing page shows every number up front. If a limit exists, we tell you before you hit it — not after.
Developer-friendly
Clean REST API, one async tag, and Consent Mode v2 wired correctly without you patching gtag. Consent scripts should fit into your stack, not dictate it. We build with developers as the primary user.
Simplicity
Compliance is already complicated enough. Our dashboard removes the noise — you get exactly what you need to stay compliant, and nothing that gets in the way of actually using it.
Why we built this, and what makes it different
The consent management space is dominated by enterprise tools retrofitted for the web, and cheap widgets that treat compliance as an afterthought. Neither serves the people actually building sites.
cmpstack was designed from the ground up for the modern web stack: async-first, edge-compatible, and built with agency workflows in mind from day one.
A consent banner should be invisible to users who’ve already chosen, and frictionless for those who haven’t.
Lightweight by architecture
Our script is not a wrapper around a heavier SDK. It’s purpose-built. 4,092 bytes gzipped. No jQuery, no legacy cruft.
Agency tools that scale
Multi-client dashboards, role-based access and bulk operations — built for the teams managing dozens of clients at once.
Domain-based pricing
You pay per domain, not per million pageviews. Your costs stay flat as your traffic grows. No penalty for doing your job well.
Built to perform at any scale
Every figure below is either measured from a build artefact, enforced by a test, or written into a contract. Nothing here is an estimate.
- Total script weight
- <4KB
- 4,092 bytes gzipped, measured from the shipped build with `gzip -nc dist/cmpstack.js | wc -c`. Loaded async, so it never blocks your page.
- Cumulative Layout Shift
- <0.10
- The banner is a fixed overlay and never pushes your content. A headless-Chrome check measures it on every build and fails above that budget.
- Integration required
- 1 tag
- One script tag, with a two-line Consent Mode default above it. Works with WordPress, Shopify, plain HTML, Next.js, or any stack. No server setup, no OAuth dance.
- Native integrations
- 13
- Tag management, analytics, advertising, CRM, e-commerce and a webhook bus, plus 18 more third-party scripts the tag recognises and holds back until their category is allowed. Both are counted from the catalogue the app validates against, not a longer list for the marketing page.
- Uptime SLA (Enterprise)
- 99.9%
- Backed by a contractual SLA for enterprise customers, with dedicated infrastructure and sub-1hr support response.
